I have had so many sorry and woefull stories from carpet cleaners who by economic circumstance have resorted to D.I.Y. repairs on their machines, purchased vac motors from what outwardly appear to be quality at low price, and then premature failure occurs ... usually in the middle of a job. I have just received a consignment of motors from the US ........... they may cost a little more but give infinitely better service than the copies or cheap versions. I have tried them all but will not supply the inferior units as we want our customers to come back ... and most do.
This also applies to pumps both low and high pressure.
Buy the best you can afford and keep cleaning
