Hi,
Craftex supply insecticide sachets containing permethrin. 100m2 per sachet, £6.95e.

Ben.

I used that stuff on two jobs recently. Following all the instructions about coverage and dilution. Had big problems with both. One of them were very wealthy dirty slobs and I suspect they didn't take the other measures needed. For instance treating all the animals. Going through the mountains of washing on the floors and washing them.

The other was totally empty.

I did everything I could to get it sorted but unfortunately it effected relations with two very good customers to the extent that I wouldn't get involved with it again.

So my advice would be get in a specialist pest control company.  :D

M-Power will kill them.

When asked if a property has fleas, just get a large bowl fill it with hot water and place in the middle of the room over night.

Inspect it in the morning if there is even one flea in it they have an infestation, you will probably find around ten, which means there are hundreds.

The warmth from the bowl is like a magnet for fleas, they think its a luxury restaurant with lots of nice warm blood.

Ouch, sounds fun :)

An alternative to the stapro insecticide is Ficam-W, very effective stuff.

Going back to your original post Tony, you can't kill eggs unless you find them and squish them, could be a long job ;D  It's a real problem treating creepy crawlies, because insecticides only kill adults and larvae, they won't deal with eggs or pupae.  There's a product called Nylar which is a growth inhibitor.  After killing off what you can with insecticide, the growth inhibitor will stop any further new insects which have hatched out from going on to the next part of the life cycle.

Obviously with fleas you're still going to have a load more biting adults, but they won't reproduce so you'll eventually snuff the population out.  You can mix it with your normal insecticide, so no messing around with separate sprays.

I use a garden type sprayer with conical jet for insecticide, doesn't clog up so much and cheap enough to be dedicated for those few times it's needed.

It was me on the last post that said you should be trained. Permathrin is not a very effective chemical as it only has an open time of 30 days. The product ficam is bendiocarb and a far more effective and proffessional use only product that is controlled  a resposible supplied to conform with legislation confirm your qulified to use such products a good lesson in training would be to takes some of these pest back to your own home so both you and your family can experience what a terrible experience living with fleas is. you need to understand the behaviour and biology of the target species to be sucessful at controling them.  Why is it when newbies come on to this forum every body says how important training is. There is a lot more legislation involved with pest control there are things your need to make the customers aware of, your liability insurance will not cover you for the use of pesticides etc etc.
