I have used flea spray from the pet shop in the past on a 2 peice suite that was ridden in fleas a year a go. worked a treat! :) the only problem is that they are sold in small bottles so might be hard/costly to do a whole carpet never mind the whole house!

There is great product that is sold in a sachet that works real good. cant think of the name tho  ??? i'll double check my bookmarks

Hi Guys

I have been using the Pemethrin products for years and have always found it does the job.

Bit difficult to spray and important to dilute quite welll as otherwise it blocks. It is a powder suspension when added to water, not a solution.

Cheers

Now its good to see someone getting some advice on this the subject of fleas.

Last time the subject came up, I am not sure if it was in the CC section or the General Cleaning section but all they got was "Get a qualified techniian" Some one who has done training.

Its funny this forum, I think it depends on peoples mood to what answers you get. I recomded the same chemical as Shaun. All I got was shot down and get some one who know what they are doing....blah blah oh and all the risk etc.

As Shuan says

great product

Microban X580 will work on fleas, but I don't know about the eggs.  I'm not too keen on the smell though :(

If using ther permethrin products mentioned by Doug, I find it better to remove all the filters from the sprayer before using, otherwise they will catch a lot of the suspended powder grains.

Safe and happy cleaning :)

You were talking about the Stapro insecticide from Ashbys, saying it was not available. Bio-Productions still list it as current.

http://www.bio-productions.com/bio/stapro_range/stapro5.pdf

Another consideration is that it needs to be left for up to 4 weeks for some insects - ie no vacuuming or the pemethrin is removed too soon.

Cheers

While since I used it but think Promite killed the bugs and penetrated the eggs destroying them, but it's been a while.
