Are you going to paint the plylining in the van Tony? Wish I had done mine before I put the TM in.

You can't take too many pics with digital. :)

 8) It's Mr Charles to you.

Like the way your accumulator is set up. Wanted a plastic T like that for mine but couldn't find one. Also what's holding it on the bracket?

so come on, the details, how much initially, how much spent, how much time. and then could you make a new carreer out of buying old TM's and doing them up. looks wise, i'd say absolutely but cost wise, thats your shout.

Tony

Restoration is not for the faint-hearted ;), a well thought-out project razing the machine/ reel and leaving enough room to access the blower nice job

I think it's been a well worth project for Tony he obviously knows his way around restoration it's not just the cost it's the satisfaction knowing the machine inside out will be invaluable when it goes wrong (which they all do) I just wished all TM manufacturers would think out the installation and space saving like this, Alltec come close to this but Tony is miles infront IMO.

Tony I applaud you.

Tony,

It looks great, well done.

Only one problem. The frame you have mounted it on looks far too flimsy to keep the machine in place in case of a serious accident. Neither do the bolts holding the machine to the frame and the frame to the floor. There's the best part of a ton of machinery sitting on that frame and by the looks of it very little holding it in place. If you had a heavy frontal impact that machine would be in the cab and you would be dead.
You insurance may also be invalid if the machine were to break free.

Sorry to be negative.

Simon.
The frame is heavy gauge 2" box section steel and was worked out for me by a steel fabrication company the unit actually weighs just over half a ton the waste tank is mounted on a separate frame if you look closley but you are wright about the bolts these are only temporary and are to be replaced with high tensile bolts.

Cheers Tony

Tony,

The left hand side of the machine needs to have a support leg directly beneath it and similar legs all along the left side of the machine otherwise the whole frame will collapse in an impact. As it's is nothing short of suicidal. You really need to think about this. The forces exerted on the machine and its fixings in a collision are enormous. If I were you I'd do away with the frame, which after all is just some extra storage area gained at the risk of serious injury, even death if you do have a big impact.

Sorry to be so negative when you've done such a goof job on the restoration.

Simon
