Call Divert
« on: June 21, 2012, 12:34:37 pm »
I am with TalkTalk for B/Band & Phone and have been looking into their call divert the charge for this is £4.10 per month to divert the call to my mobile after talking to someone from a part of the world I could not understand very well I am still not clear wether or not I will get charged for each call aswell or if the £4.10 covers it all.
Anyone use it or could help.

Cheers Tony

you will pay for the part of the call to your mobile as the customer does not they are ringing a mobile. If you look down my business line itemised list all you can see is shed loads of calls to my number. I have been told that if you have a bt business line and bt mobile you can do not get charged for the call to your mobile as it recognises your mob as being bt and is not a chargable call. This would lower my bill but I can't get out of current contract till next year

Regardless of the cost its worth doing. If a new customer rings with job and you don't answer you've nearly always lost it.

Still shocks me how many cleaners I ring and can't contact but even worse they only have a generic answerphone message.

There are also companies which will answer your call if it is not picked up after x number of rings. Answer as "Bawsak Cleaning Services" etc then forward you the details by text message or email.

You can purchase packages of 30, 60, 90 calls etc. Whatever suits.

Tony, i am also with Talktalk.

You'll need to call them and get one of their minutes bundles. I think its like £5 for so many 100s of minutes a month. Cant remember the name of the add-on but if you call up they'll tell you.

Without it you'll be charged alot of money to anwser diverted calls! I was paying over £100 a month just for that part of the service alone.

Thanks all fair point John.
I'll have to give them a bell Tony. I do find when I get home missed call's and no messages on the answer phone and sure enough when I ring them and say I have a call from you can I help they will often say oh no we are sorted now thanks.

Cheers Tony

We are with talk talk and it cost's us 60p per month, then we have a bolt on package for £6.00 for calling mobiles (can't remember how many minutes this covers but never gone over)
All you need is to pick up one job a month from it and that more than covers it.

Yep unless they are a regular customer they are gone. People want instant service these days and if you don't take the call they'll just ring someone else.

My calls are on  constant divert so I don't miss anything my phone bill is about £65.00 a month, that includes all the rental for business and home phone, so I costs about £750 a year or so, don't know if that's a lot or not but judging it in 10 -15 jobs a week i think it works out quite cheap... Or am I wrong

Same here- about the same in cost.
Direct to mobile so no extortionate BT fees.

You need to speak to 'an advisor' to organise it.
