Probably too big a file.....I've stopped posting pics on here because it keeps telling me file is too big and I don't know how to make it smaller.....think it's anything over 3mb won't load.

Basically there was a leaf, twig and resin in the diaphragm blocking the little holes!no wonder my pump didn't work properly!

I also took apart the bit below the diaphragm and it was full of black soot like powder!is this normal?

Anyway I've binned it...I've had it 5 years now... ;D

Perfectly normal if you can’t be arsed to fit a filter.

Your new pump won’t last nearly as long, now there’s resin in the tank.

And the lesson to learn from this is fit a filter , then this situation wouldn’t have happened filter will cost a maximum of £20

I'm also wondering if a window cleaner using di only to purify water should put a sediment filter after di. I've heard of a number of cases with resin in the van's tank which resulted from connecting the di vessel up the wrong way. It's an easy mistake to make - like filling the van's tank with petrol rather than diesel.

First time I've done it in nearly 12 years of wfp spruce!

I've now vacuumed all the resin out of my tank with a powerful karcher wet and dry vac....I won't be making that mistake again! ;D

Happy new year chaps!

The lesson learnt is not to get resin in the tank in the first place....its not practical to fit a filter on my system...

Normally I only have to remove the cabinet front (and my reel) once a year to top up my header tank, that's it.... :)

Lol not practical to fit a filter !!!!! It’s a 5 muinit job and any system should have them just like all vehicles have fuel filters , I guarantee you will have the same thing happen again it’s just a matter of time .

What I mean is its a faff to get to my cabinet to check the filter....I'd rather just buy a new pump every 5 years mate...

Must be quite old vessels? The newer ones have dual internal strainers. My VYair vessels have dual strainers so it couldn't happen with these if you reversed the flow.👍
