Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.

white spirits kind of dissolves it, but needs a really good scrubbing to get that off afterwards.

I've gone off using any type or scraper after hearing bout scratching glass.

Soap it up, gently scrape the worst of the sticky stuff, then, if you are worried about scratching the glass, use a wet microfibre cloth to get rid of the rest.

White spirits can also dissolve any coating on the glass. Self cleaning glass for example. So I am told, don't shoot me down if wrong. Just trying to help.

Graffiti remover in an aerosol , made by staples disposables, fantastic for the sticky backing once you've removed the label.
