Shoulda done it in blocks of 20 - at least then it would’ve been manageable if they take you up on your offer

4 so far in last half hour, few text back wanting to stay as they are.

Didnt bother to text any cash ones, i also said free clean offer expires end october

not bothered about having them all on go cardless but it would be nice to get maybe half the round on it, will help with cash flow

I need to do this and look into it more, how easy is it to set up from my side and then from their side? What do they have to do? Make a big difference to me this i think and help drive down my debt list

yep its as easy as creating an account and registering your bank details.... and then sending customers a link to fill there info in.

intergrated with cleaner planner its great...one click and payment is requested after each clean.

From both parties view point it is very easy to do. Once you have set your account up, you are given a link which you keep and can even paste onto your website.
When the customer uses said link, either direct or through your website, it takes them to a direct debit mandate form which you can add your company logo onto. They simply fill out their details, ie name, address, email and bank details.   You then get an email which tells you someone has signed up and you can see this on your dashboard on the GoCardless site. Then you can start processing payments or link it to the Squeegee app or other work apps you may be using

I thought this as well. Even if all your customers don't sign up, you could be working a couple of days or several days for free.

As an incentive to sign up.

Ive asked them before nicely, not much response.

Usually people are motivated to do something when theres something in it for them.

I do free cleans all the time..... non payers, messers on first cleans, money lost on marketting etc, its only a business cost like any other.

Each to their own but I've never done a free clean for any customer ever and never would....I think it's a foolish idea myself.....

If I wanted to get customers on gocardless I'd just tell them this is my payment method from next clean please sign up....

BACS is great for me for lots of customers as well as card payments/cash at the door...hardly any cheques now and my debt list is usually pretty low(usually under 1k)so manageable......
price higher/work harder!

Don't clean windows for free.

I shut my usual account down and am not giving my new details, only GoCardless. Have lost a couple but nothingmuch.

lol, i think ive lost over a grand in 4 years, not all first cleans, some moved out without paying, some just became a bad payer etc.

But in the bigger picture whats a grand in 4 years really? sounds a lot but at about 20 quid a month in reality its a very small percentage of turnover, its just another cost associated with growth.

You might think its foolish daz but like you say each to their own... ive spent 5k on canvassers, doing free cleans,  dealing with bad payers etc... i might have lost a lot of money on that but gained a grand a month in revenue in the bigger scheme of things....

you blew 5k on a diesel heater that does not add a grand a month in revenue

Whos the fool ?

Just saying  :P

It's a crazy argument, yes free cleans are a good incentives and perhaps spread over a period of time rather than all customers in one go.
However a 25% or 50% off the next clean is just as much an incentive.

The argument on free cleans due to messes etc is silly. Yes sometimes these things are out your control and you can choose to chase up if it's worth it or to simply forget.
But here, you have made the conscientious decision to offer free cleans
