Rubber gloves and twist with the least amount of squeeze possible. Maybe two people.

HI SB Cleaning,

Dave Willis is quite correct - this technique works very well - especially if you twist towards each other, and if neccesary, use a little PFTE spray and allow to soak before attempting.

Our new V4 poles are stepped as well as tapered, which prevents the sections over lapping to far and then sticking. Of course, this doesn't negate the need to make sure both the male and female parts of each pole section should be cleaned (washed, and wiped, and then sprayed with PTFE spray) in order to prevent them sticking together in future.

Do contact us on 01223 790049 if you need any further help.

Just ask the lady of the house to give a hand with yer pole. But first ask her to put her marigolds on.  ;D

Place the joint on a firm surface and gently tap the top of the joint with a bit of wood. Keep turning the sections and keep tapping. It might take a few minuites, but they will ease off.

Top tip: eventually when you get them apart, clean them up, reassemble lightly then wrap insulation tape around the male taper so it can't go in any further.

I hadvthis a few weeks ago. Nothing would work, lubricant and gloves were both tried and no go. I ended up heating the sections with a hot air air gun and they came apart after a few minutes
