Went hot two months ago and roughly at the same time i started to use vision.
Two months on and iam noticing unbelievable results on the glass and frames.
Iam absolutely delighted with the results and can honestly say its taking slightly less longer to complete my days work now.
Will never go back to cold only now and highly recommend the combination of hot with vision.

What do you mean, 'unbelievable results'?

i agree hot pure water cleans easier/better than just cold pure water but im not convinced by vision now.it slows me down due to extra rinsing due to bubbles and it makes the glass "slippy" so its harder to scrub snail trails/birdmuck off IMO.
i chucked my half bottle i had left in the bin the other day!(id been using it in my trad bucket but i really didnt like it)

In all my time doing wfp i can honestly say I've never had the frames looking so good.
As for the glass i find the scrub much easier as the brush glides with less effort.
As opposed to Daz i love seeing the bubbles and for me i definitely rinse less as i see the water coverage much better.
Its all a bit odd at first seeing these bubbles, your natural reaction is to rinse more to get rid of them.
I believe also that with vision in the mix water sheets better on hydrophilic glass.
As for the glass itself ive noticed it staying cleaner for longer even through the recent stormy weather, more noticeable on my 8 weeklys.
Some houses now ive cleaned three times with hot and vision and iam absolutely spending less time on them, maybe 5 or 10% quicker, definitely worth the £2 or less per day in gas.

Been water fed for 7 years and the last 2/3 months I have never seen windows this clean.
Cold pure.

I find i rinse less with bubbles in evidence mate, i see the water coverage more so with the help of the bubbles.
Are you using fans or pencils Daz? I use fans myself and maybe because of the smaller diameter hole i get a lot more frothy water???
Iam one who likes to work with the flow cranked right up mind.

Cold pure.
What do you think has made the difference in the past months? Or do you mean your using vision too?

Not using vision at the moment.
The reason i think in my area at least is the massive reduction in insects. We do pest control as well and last year has been one of the worst years for insects.
When going round now I am simply not seeing spider sacks, hibernating spiders or anything like that. The weather hasn't been kind to insects last year and this year we have had some decent cold snaps which will knock out insects.
I know weather makes windows dirty as well but so does insects

I agree about the insects. Definitely less spiders up here too which is always good. :)

One every minute....

Also fly poo comes off much easier with hot water . cold water you gotta really scrub it to get the off .
-
Good on bacon and eggs too but still struggles with weetabix.

What you'll find is that you'll get green mildew start to appear, wait and see.

Where? ???
-
We get amazing results with hot pure no additives needed
-
I found that at first it adds more shine to the frames but I was getting green appearing on the frames and sills a lot quicker than normal,I would go back after a couple of months or so and they would be starting to go green. Ok it cleans off easy enough but it did happen, when I was using it I cleaned a load of plastic weatherboard after 4/5 months it was going green again it looked lovely when it was done but mildew didn't take long to start clinging to it again. Let's get it right with this stuff it does make the brush glide better and it does seem to add more shine but it did block my tank outlet and 2 pumps didn't approve of it.

That's why I didn't use it . Hot pure water is fine buy it's self .
-
Did you get the same thing happen then.
-
Yes I did that's why I ruled it out .
Seems like the green came back faster . Stick to pure hot water you don't need to add anything to it . Pure water in my experience keeps the frames, cladding etc cleaner longer then when you use detergents .

I've noticed green algae has been quite bad this year so it's not really down to what type of method you use. Algae and other types of spores float about naturally in the air and given the right conditions will start to grow on damp surfaces anyhow. Be it brickwork, render, wood, concrete, plastics, glass etc. That is one of the reasons why I got into pressure and soft washing as most custards don't just want their windows cleaned.
-
I noticed a difference in that my brush glided a little easier over the glass and there was a not unpleasant smell to the water but as regards finish to either windows or frames, absolutely no difference whatsoever. I gave it a good run in case it proved to be a cumulative thing (which it didn't). I never had a problem with gunk forming in my tank as I mixed it in barrels that were then emptied during the day so no water was ever left standing with vision in it. I stopped using it as I didn't see the point in paying for something that for me didn't live up to it's claims.
In my experience, cold pure cleans glass and gets loose dirt off UPVC very well, hot pure does the job a little quicker, and the only way I've found to get most stains out of UPVC is with chemicals or cleaning creams.

I think that post says it all. I agree with every word.
The thing is if you asked Kempy or whoever else was part of its inception they would simply say to those who see that Vision has no benefit that ‘there are those that have a different experience than others using Vision’.
I’d like to know why they have a different experience compared to other punters.
When someone eats ice-cream you have pretty much the same experience as the next person eating ice-cream. Its cold, it hurts your teeth, it tastes nice and it makes you fat if you eat too much.
If you use the same lawn mower as the next bloke you’ll have pretty much the same experience as the next bloke using the same lawn mower, it cuts the grass, makes a whirring noise, and creates a wonderfully refreshing and relaxing smell.
I think the truth about Vision is that everyone that uses it also has the same experience, just some choose to be drawn in by the hype and others see the reality of the product. They choose to believe the hype because they want to think they’re doing a better job and if they subscribe to the hype then they convince themselves that they are.
Its like Marmite, everyone has the same experience and taste sensation when they eat it, some like it, some don’t, but it's still exactly the same experience.
-
Very well put but I hate marmite .
-
I love marmite

Your right although like I said I noticed it came back quicker than usual.
-
Same here
-
So are you suggesting vision causes the surface to go green quicker then?
-
I cleaned a weatherboard job as I said as well as UPVC framed Windows when using it and I noticed they became green quicker than years gone by,the thin strips on the actual PVC would go green even after a couple of months. It comes off again with ease but on returning it seemed to be different almost like slime you'd get in a pond.
-
Interesting...I've not noticed any difference using vision or not. Even using a sh soft wash mix it will kill the spores on the surfaces on application but after time the surface will be recolonized.
Typical example of this is a rendered building (larger block of flats) I drive past that approx 5 months ago the render was cleaned by a contractor. Now it looks just as bad again.
I assume going by the short time it took for the walls to go green again they used sh instead of ddac. Or after using sh they did not treat the render with ddac afterwards.
Like I mentioned before it's down to the amount of spores floating about in the air and this year is quite bad.
-
Walls are different they are pourous for a start so mildew or similar can grow back out of the brickwork etc,I'm talking about a non pourous surface that is completely cleaned off to its original state,it grows back on the middle of the PVC in most cases not just where the joins meet.

Would be interesting for you to find out if it makes any difference to soft wash the plastics with a 1% sh mix instead.
