Hi all, Geordie question time...
I've no good at estimating height, but what length of pole do I require if I wish to reach 2nd floor windows (not just ground or first floor)?
Also, Cleantech do a back pack; so does Chic which isn't as trendy looking, but around £50 cheaper.

It has a four speed pump (what-ever that means).
Is it any good?

And would it be a good idea to buy a spare battery also?

If your not sorted yet Andrew at 24-7 mentioned he had found a backpack from a UK supplier for £50 inc delivery & Vat less.
I think it was posted on a thread called 'Buying Direct'.

I've read through 24-7's back-posts and found the backpack. It's a shurflo; although not £50, (he procured it for £50 cheaper than the UK price), it looks a good deal and he speaks well of it.
I've phoned the Shurflo distributers and they're going to get someone to phone me back.
Ben, thanks for the pole advice too. I'm off to google for an eight meter pole.

i purchased a 4 speed Shurflo back pack via Andrew 24-7
it was about 50 pound cheaper excellent product if you dont have any luck try Andrew

I should've coughed up the dosh when Andrew was asking for a group buy.
Anyway, Brett, I'm glad it's an excellent bit of kit as I've just bought one for £175, plus VAT.
I've just got to go googling for the rest of the stuff now.
Matt's DIY site is an excellent place to get the rest of the information, so I'm off there now.

I got the backpack through Andrew and find it brilliant.
I got an 18foot pole from Chic and can just reach top windows on town house.
I would get a spare battery though as it gives no warning it's about to run out so it's handy to have one spare.

Cheers Andrew I got one when i got the backpack. I was just saying it would be best to get a spare.
Mine ran out today without warning and when i went to change it found i had left the spare at home :P

Its ment to have a flashing light on the bottom to say when you need to charge it - I agree top bit of kitt for money - tho' to whimpy to carry it so tug it round on a cheap sack barrow .
thanks Anderw 24-7 for the link - after borrowing Dan's at DSB to try, it was so good I bought it of him - haha so he may be back to you to get anoter one day .
Pole height - if you allow aprox 10ft a story you will be fine
