600 litre and 1000 litre IBC's
« on: March 12, 2007, 08:31:18 pm »
Hi guys,

My name is Alex, and I specialise in the supply of reconditoned IBC's for use as water butts and water storage.

I am one of the few people in the country to have access to the rare 600 litre IBC, and have been asked by a number of mobile valeters to put this listing onto your forum so as to help!

The 600 litre IBc's are obviousley smaller, and therefore are more suited to the style of vans that many mobile guys drive.

The 600 litre IBC has the following maximum dimensions - Footprint = 800 x 1200 - Height = 1040mm.

The 1000 litre (more common and therefore cheaper IBC's) have the following maximum dimensions - Footprint - 1000 x 1200 - Height - 1120mm.

I have a large number of both types. They are 100% clean and leak free. This is my job, so I dont let people down.

You can see more on E-bay - I have shop called Toucan Environmental. Search for 600 litre water butt, and you will find me. Or copy and paste the following link -

Alternatively please feel free to ring me on 07817 844802 to discuss your needs. I can deliver to anywhere in the country and can also supply Hozelock connectors that help you to feed the water into your pressure washers.

Cheers lads,

Alex.

Alex,

Where are you based in Bristol ?

Also what liquid were they used to store before they were steam cleaned ?

Hi Sarah,

I am in a small village called Upton Cheyney - BS30 6NQ. It is just up from the village of Bitton, betwen the cities of Bristol and Bath.

The tanks previously contained a pH neutral non-hazourdous water based acrylic polymer. These products are used to make coatings used in the print industry.

I steam clean the tanks, resulting in the inside of the tank being 100% clean.

Thanks for your interest.

Thanks Alex.

As w/c the tanks will be used to house 100 % pure water which has gone through a process to take out all the impurities to ensure the water evaporates off the windows - leaving them dry and clean.

W are advised against using pre-used tanks which contained oil based products (such as diesel)  as they are not 100 % clean - hence my question.

I may be in touch shortly Alex.

Thanks Sarah,

Funnily enough the chappy who told me about your forum has just sent some pictures of the tank that I supplied him today.

I am not sure how to direct you to his listing but his on-line name is Goochie.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers,

Alex.

Yes, I was just reading his post Alex.

Here's the link for anyone interested to see what they look like.

BTW, I notice they are mounted on a hard core plastic base - can this be taken off ?   I would want my tank  fitted to the chassis legs of the van and plates secured underneath and this base would hinder that fitting.

Hi Sarah,

Yup, the plastic base is simply secured to the bottle and cage by a set of screws - easy to remove.

Another one of my customers recently brought his van back to show me what he had done to the IBC. This was to basically remove the pallet base, screw the bottle and cage to the base of his van, and run a hose pipe out of the back of his van using the Hozelock connector (this is the connector that you can see on Goochie's picture - where the tap is at the bottom).

Cheers,

Alex.
