People who hate their lives/wives collect.
It gets them out of the house of an evening.

It's just the internet. Try not to worry.

because only just over half of my customers will pay on the day, online, by cheque, or leave money out.

I still collect 1 round of about 60 houses. All in 1 area, very compact 3 and 4 bed detached.

It gets me in front of the customer to upsell other services, fascia/soffitt/gutter cleans and conservatory cleans. Very profitable on these particular houses. These customers are out at work 95% of the time so if I didn't collect I wouldn't see them.

Works for me.

We still collect.

We also have on-line payments but everyone likes to use it, usually old people.

I don't mind collecting, it's good for cashflow.

ditto.also it keeps you in contact with your customers.easy if you have chunks of very compact work in one area.more and more are opting for electronic payments though esp younger customers.some still send cheques.

im not really bothered as long as i get paid in the end!

collecting is usually just 1-2 hours a week on a monday evening these days.sometimes not at all. ;)
price higher/work harder!
