MODS/ADMIN Your attention please.
« on: April 21, 2008, 12:44:53 pm »
I've emailed the admin and mods, but unfortunately no one has gotten back to me. This post is not cleaning related, but in lack of a forum feedback subsection, I'm posting it here.

Here's the problem, every time you post a link, wether it's in img tags or, quote tags or whatever, the forum gives an error, and doesn't let you post the thread or post, remove the url, and you can. This is a serious problem and needs to fixed asap. Maybe it's just me, but I've heard it from other people as well.

Just tried it again, same problem :

Yea, but it literally bans every other url. Try it.

Been trying it for years.
Site belongs to Express, other suppliers are taboo.

I'm not talking about other suppliers, some links work, and others not.

If I post a link and put a period at the end, it does work, makes me think there is something wrong with the system that blocks urls.

Like so : www.bit-tech.net.

Remove the period, put the link in your post, and voila, forum error.

Ehrm, what the heck? Now it does work, that is just too weird. One moment it works, one moment it doesn't.

Problem is, even if you use tinyurl (website that makes your url small), you still can't post it. This has got nothing to do with the forum blocking urls, maybe it does, but then something just has gone wrong. The lack of reply on email is a bit worrying, what if something really bad happens to the forum. Hopefully they are smart to do daily backups.

Delete the h.t.t.p:// and give it another try?
If you noticed I had to put periods in so I could post it.

www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/catalogbody.html

That's it, remove the h.tt.p:// and it works. That's silly lol.  ;D

That does need to be fixed though!
