Quick signwriting template made.
« on: March 27, 2008, 04:53:42 pm »
Isn't finished yet, but I think I'd like to keep it similar to this. I'm trying to get the Font a bit bolder without going to 'bold', to make it stand out a bit more, but haven't figured that one out yet. The size could be a tiny bit bigger too I guess. Still have to make the back of the van.

What do you think of it? (Just click the link)

I think it looks good but on the back the web address is too small why not try it along the top of the doors i am suggesting this before window washers tells you  ;)

All that space, and such tiny wording.

Are you trying to whisper or SHOUT?

As your van drives by, it's only seen for a very few seconds, make sure it's NOTICED

(That's what I think, anyway :P)

Yea good point Ian, having a hard time to visualise how big it would be in real life.  :)

I might try to put the web address under the 'Citroen' and 'Berlingo' black Trim. More space, I think above the doors doesn't look too good in my opinion. :)

Okay, I made the sign writing 1 font size bigger, first link is the smaller font, second the bigger one.

Don't really know if bigger is better in this case.

Edit : Darn, that is 2 steps in font size. I'll fix it later.

It's interesting what you've done, I can see why you put it in that order, I don't completely like the feel of it though.

I think this size is okay, if I would compare this to my van, I think this size would be ideal, any bigger, and it looks out of place, more billboard like. I compared the shadows of the sign writing what was on there, and this is bigger then that.

G.Q.C

Did you use insert "word art" to put the text you are using or did you just use the normal fonts, because with word art, the letters can be bigger and spaced out more clearly.

No I didn't use word art....used Paint.net

I'll have a fiddle around with that, and see how that goes. It's really just to give the signwriter an idea, I'm sure they can make it look the way it should do. :)

Letterings big enough, it's the van that's too small. ;)

Haha, yup, you are probably right on that one. Will suit my work though, I'm happy with it. :)

Until I've got a website, I'll use it. And why not.

Live Mail works fine for me, haven't had downtime yet, so no big deal.
