i normally go up ladders,     going to stop using them now, too dangerous.    all crap comes out of vents.

Wash them like normal , then wipe of the drips.
Then wrap a hair towel around your brush once everything has been washed and wipe with the hair towel. All done from the ground

You can get these cheap as chips , but this is an example
