We have experienced several attempts to obtain goods using fraudulent Credit
Cards. In particular from an address at Round Road, Northfield, Birmingham.
Generally the enquiry is for a hot or cold pressure washer, and made by an
ethnic sounding male with an English sounding surname. To date we have
refused to send goods
However we have recently heard of other cleaning equipment companies
sending out goods, to find the Credit Card details to be in fact stolen. In
particular we are aware of one Company that has lost around £12,000 by
deception
What is important to note is that the transaction is always authorised by
the Card Provider, although as you may be aware this is no guarantee of
payment to you, the Merchant
While we cannot advise on the security checks you as a Merchant should take,
including the Security Code, we feel it is important to inform you of this
matter.
