Yes mate, it is a brilliant job, and it’s not until you try some of the building trades that you realise how easy and stress free window cleaning is 👍🏼

The hot water will warm his little donnys ;D
-
Its not been bad at all, would prefer a tad warmer but window cleaning is easier in winter than when its red hot for sure, can work faster with a higher TDS as well.
-
Today seemed warmer than yesterday. Tomorrow might be a slow start. -4 and hoses and connectors start to freeze. Oil filled radiator is going in the back of the van at 9:00 tonight.

It shouldn’t stop anyone working even with a cold system.
The biggest concern with temps colder than -2° isn’t the system freezing, it’s leaving patches of ice all over the place and that risk doesn’t change with a hot system.
I’ve a cold system and have lost a total number of 0 days work in the last 10 years due to frozen system or hoses.

Rather you than me mate.......😁👍
I used to get frozen jets using a cold system in this weather....annoying......also I needed to keep the water flowing all the time or it would freeze in the hose sometimes
-
I remember trying to thaw my hose out on my van exhaust one time!🙄😁
-
How often in the last 10 years Daz, has the daytime working temps been below -2° during the working day? I can count on one hand.

He's just trying to justify the 10 grand he's spent these last 5 years on hot 😱

I very very rarely take time off due to the weather but today is one of them, it’s still -1 at 10:30 so calling it a day now.

I’m cold water, in Essex , I started abit later
Yesterday and do when I see white lawns and roofs
But still had a reasonable day even though I’m trying to get use to working out of a courtesy van
While mines being repaired
And got dog poo on my hands 3 times ! Yesterday 🤦♂️😆

Still - 1 here but cracking on.
First 3 houses was freezing on the glass. I made an igloo out of one conservatory.
Water is still freezing on the paths, I'm pretty sure i will get a complaint today as someone goes on their arse coming out of their door.
Supposed to hit 0 degrees by 11 and a tropical 1 degree by 12.
Nevermind, last day of the week for me.
Interestingly though my system didnt freeze last night nor has it at any point today, and im cold water so looks like hot is pretty pointless.
-
I'm on my 7th house. -1.5 and still ok to work. One house the windows were freezing as I scrubbed. £15 in tips so far. Snow forecast tomorrow so get off yer lazy asses and get out there. ;D
-
First job was -3°, cleaned with no issues. 2nd job was -2°, again no issues. Onto a larger job which will take me to around 2pm and it’s now 0° so plain sailing from here.
Oh and it’s the coldest day today since I think 2010. ;D
If you want hot for warm toasty hands then great, but don’t try and blag that’s it’s essential to keep earning during our freezing winters, it just isn’t true.
Edit. Thermometer has just nudged up to 1°. Won’t even need my gloves for this job. ;D

I'm on my third cup of tea and I'm coughing like Charles Ingram's wife. Slightly raised temperature doing egg, bacon, sausage, black pudding, beans and fried bread, too.
I wish hadn't bothered because I couldn't taste a thing.
Stay safe.
