Title: Lacquered wooden flooring
Post by: Mark Slaney on May 24, 2012, 11:13:58 pm

Can anyone reccomend a way to clean a kersaint and Cobb lacquered wooden floor. It's newly laid and the builders moped it I presume with water and now it's left dull marks all over it.

  Cheers mark.

Dust Control Mop (Vacuum if -grooved/chamfered after)
Neutral Detergent in a Multiwash/Rotowash low moisture crb machine
Flat Microfibre Mop / Sprayer with water to rinse
Buff with white pad or polishing brush when complete.
If its still dull after all that then maybe a coat of something like Bona Freshen Up or Kersaitn & Cobb's own branded product.

We are carrying out exactly this on a smoked and oiled Tedd Todd floor today. On a new build I would speak to the manufacturer and use their recommended cleaner etc. Especially when this stuff can be £300/m2 sometimes. Explain to main contractor this is for warranty reasons and pass on the cost.

Be very careful with amount of moisture used.
