I've got one similar 14hp loncin 15lpm more or less same spec. Only difference  it's rated at 3600 psi max not 4000 psi max.
Apart from it being thirsty and heavy to move about has severd me well for what I needed it for. I now just use it as a backup as prefer to use my other washer now which is a delta similar to this  http://www.malcleanse.co.uk/delta-250-bar-15-lpm-petrol-pressure-washer-dt15250phr-p-4535.html

We have been using the same loncin engined machine as smurf for 3 years with no issues. Buy a suttner turbo nozzel and its perfect IMO.

I have the above. If you look at the engine it's attached straight onto the trolley, for some reason my machine is raised up with a stack of metal washers on the four corners. After some use one of the bolts broke off.
The pump is also spraying water out when the trigger is released.
I would get one of those easy start valves as I tend to leave the lance on a roof etc and it's a pain when the pressure's built up and you can't start it.... All the way back to pull the trigger!
Never had a problem with the previous machine though.

He's stacking the engines with washers to line things up - he's doing it on the belt drive version and we keep getting calls from users with knackered pump bearings. We've replaced and rebuilt 4-6 pumps in the last month on their belt driven machines. We then have to rebuild the pump and modify the belt drive to fit properly or scrap it completely and fit either a gearbox of a modified adjustment plate.
To do a belt drive the pump and engine have to be exactly in line to the thou - any twisting force on the belts takes a huge toll on the pumps crank bearings.

He's got the brackets now, I'll send him a couple of pictures or a you tube link and see what happens.

Ben that's interesting to know...You obviously know your stuff and to think I thought the belt drive washers would be more reliable as they have been around for years in the states.

When done properly a belt drive is the most reliable way of doing it - especially in warmer countries where temperatures can be an issue with gearboxes. A belt drive NEEDS to be precise a few millimetres can take years off of the life of the pump and or engine. The technology is no different to the combine harvesters, until the last 10-15 years everything was belt driven due to the immense heat created by the machine. With belts it helps if you can keep the belts dry, and is not any different to your mower belts slipping in the wet during the spring months.

There has to be no flex in the frame, no side loading on the pump and the belt has to be tight. But most importantly 110% square.
Our base plate is done in 10mm steel for the belt drive - the design is checked and signed off by AMC for vibration rating and fail safe on the rubber mountings - I'm not saying Terry should take it that far but it wouldn't hurt,  the bolt drilled up through the pump mounts at the end leaves no adjustment for the user, so what happens as the belts stretch? Our solution is well over engineered - but we have confidence in a zero chance of failure due to torsional stress on the larger engines. Loosing the odd Loncin or Aldi engine at £300 quid a go isn't the end of the world but losing a 2G40 at £3400 a pop would soon bring tears to your eyes. Especially if it could be avoided.

I don't know if you have seen the video he posted of building the machine with the belt drive https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UllelpEHi-U but I would say that anyone who thinks this video portrays the way a professional company should engineer and manufacture any product  just goes to show that you get what you pay for.

I tell you now If I caught sophie or dave building something like this I would go absolutely ballistic!

They'd also not be building anything else!

I have 2 of Bens machines and a Q Washer Gx390 dual feed,I am less than 500 yards away, come and see a demo anytime. This is Sean that sold the commercial work to Ryan! 07949608079.   Can't fault Ben or Damian at Q Washers,Loncin OK but can be troublesome and jet Mac is a long way from us!

Got a brand new Briggs and Stratton 250 bar at 20  l/ min,not even started it yet!,it is probably all anybody needs and a great price, the Briggs are good on fuel and a turbo nozzle fitted will shift about everything.

The  Briggs 16hp v twin 250 bar at 21 litres is a nice thing, you can  see what you make of that.

I would have thought that since he had setup the machine with parts that he had to hand!! He would be sending the proper bracket for positioning the belt guard free of charge.  I can feel a moan coming on :)
