Title: Trailer/WFS

I am about to buy a trailer system, to see if i can get some better easier work. i only have an escort van so this seems to be a good getin, but it only has 200 lts water.  I wonder if there is any way of getting more water into the trailer, water carried with you that you have treated before.( iam buying the pro 2 system) This would be ideal you could take 200 prtreated letrs with you then fill up your trailer without going home.

We use a 6'x4' marine ply trailer with a 400litre flat baffled tank (as sold on our site) strapped in, there is then room behind this to mount a battery and a flojet pump.

The trailer cost us £450 from a chap who builds them locally, it came with a cover and spare wheel.

The tank cost £150+vat
the pump £107 +vat

we simply process the water at home and pump it into the trailer when we need it.

i have the pro 2 trailer and found i needed more water,rang ionics for advice but was told it was not company policy,something about the danger of carrying extra water in car,went to see local boat mechanic and he was able to put a piece of plastic pipe through the lid into the baffled tank it was then sealed and on top of the lid there is a screw top,similier to a petrol cap,must be screw lid one,when the tank is empty i then get the water cannister out and start to fill,you must use the correct funnel to stop air  getting in the tank,the cost was £33 including screw lid,funnel,pipe and the hour works,my advice would be to see your local boat yard mechanic hope this helps.

Hi Toff have you an e-mail address I could send pics to, the pictures are of a few trailer systems we have put together for customers, I'll include prices and if you still fancy doing it your own way then at least it will hopefully have given you a few ideas to work with.  We are in Northern Ireland but UK mainland del is not a prob.
