Thankfully here my local guy is still under £25 for a 25 ltr barrel  - we do now have to order 2 weeks in advance

I can get 1000 ltr IBC for £600 - I just don't fancy having it in the unit  :-X

And once opened it will start loosing strength as well , don’t think you can get it in ibc tanks with surfactant already added either ? For us it’s far more manageable with staff having 25 ltr drums  rather than decanting it from an ibc if there was a leak from it it would turn into a major incident.  300 ltr is the maximum amount allowed to be carried by us unless you are a licensed carrier with an ADR ticket  so find tge smaller drums the best option . Out of interest Darran his di you get rid of the empty container s?  I cannot find anyone that will take them for  recycling ? I have to take them to the local dump and put them in the general waist , not very environmentally friendly but there is no other option .

I agree - could you imagine walking into a 1000 litres of hypo on the floor - or worse some one decanting and ripping the tap off the IBC - I shudder thinking bout it

We have a deal with our supplier - we were charged £2 a barrel on delivery which is then taken off the hypo price when returned to the empty - so they usually drop off 15 drums and take back 15 empties - I usually have 5 "in stock" when I order

I assume that they have the IBC tanks and de-cant into drums

Ok that’s interesting our supplier won’t take the drums back saying they arnt allowed to re fill second hand drums in case they are damaged and leak !,, we buy between 10-25 drums at a time depending on stock levels and work load

Supplies down hear are very hit and miss I tend to buy 10-20 barrels at a time now so we don’t run out depending on work coming in , have 25 drums on order but no delivery date yet 😬😬😬, loads of jobs booked in , and enquiries are thick and fast atm very early in the year

That's a very big price hike. Have you looked at other places to see if they offer a better price?
