Help with pricing a job up
« on: August 29, 2008, 07:28:01 pm »
I have just looked at a shop carpet and need to get back to them with a quote, It's not massive but it's a change from my regular domestic. I have done a few commercial jobs and tend to go in around the £2 psm mark but this one is quite minging. It has a fair bit of chewing gum and is heavily worn down and dirty down the aisles. It's low profile and is ribbed.

The size is 13m X 13m with about 5 bays running down at intervals, I have to start it at 5pm when it closes.

At my disposal I have a low speed buffer and a Mytee Speedster ;)

Any advice on price, chems and technique will be much appreciated.

Cheers all Andy

Not having seen you job it seems to me that this would be a restoratioin clean. Think of the additional time you will need, I would look for £4.00 per square metre and promote further maintenance cleans at your £2.00 (you migh want to consider putting that up to £2.50
