TOMORROW?? Many's the time they've been giving the forecast and saying something like: "It's bright and sunny at the moment but the next few days will be more unsettled....." then I've looked out of the window and it's bucketing down ;D

UK Winter Weather Forecast 2012/13

Going to be a bad winter  :'(

http://www.exactaweather.com/UK_Long_Range_Forecast.html

"November is likely to feature below-average temperatures as a whole. It is likely to become progressively colder as we progress throughout the month and into the start of winter, with the development of some quite severe frosts in places. These cooler periods of weather will be accompanied by further falls of snow across higher ground, and these are also likely to develop across some lower levels of the country at times too. It is also likely to be a relatively drier month overall in terms of rainfall amounts. However, some further periods of wet and windy weather are still probable to develop at times too."

The above is a direct quote from the site that you linked. Complete load of tosh. November, so far, has been exceptionally mild with almost no sub zero temperatures. Long range weather forecasts are to be avoided IMO.

Shouldn't you have stayed standing in the street eating cockles instead of getting the 47 back home to plague us with your inane 1970s threads?  Is it that bad in Wigan?

That's a website created by the Daily Express to support their sensationalist weather forecasting headlines.

Yes, it may snow somewhere in the uk within a few weeks but probably above about 2000ft or on exposed high ground when the conditions are right.

As for it being a bad winter, based on what?

Reminds me of the times, and a few of them, with my  darling, sliding on the ice rink, face down, all vodka'ed.

And usually north of Sandbach.

Forcast are never correct I agree totally.... After all
In April they imposed a drought order as NO rain was in the forcast
For the next three months etc etc .. We all know what
Happened next and it's still raining , Pmsl
But I have a feeling deep down that next weekend we will see
Snow :-0  I'm forecasting it .
Quite funny that one of those links takes you to a forcast for
Nov that says it will be drier than normal ,A : what's normal
B: urm think we gonna need a bigger boat :-)
I got my winter boots , and buffalo top ready ,
Have fun people

They imposed a drought order to conserve water and not because 'no rain was forecast'. There was never a forecast of 'no rain' but rather 'what if it continues to be below average rainfall'.

No forecaster of any value has forecast a drier than average November or December or anything.

From what I can remember , last year was going to be a BBQ summer, or was that in a dream?
Thee hose pipe ban is still in force I bet  ;D That's the worst summer I can ever remember hearing about in UK, and nobody forecast it in Spring!!!

Now the same mongs want you to believe they know what sort of winter you're going to get  ;D ;D ;D

These idiots are still trying to tell you the Earth is getting warmer, even though the average temp worldwide has been dropping for the last 16 years  :D

Funny old world innit? When I bother to check weather, I click on th rain radar online. Tells me all I need to know really.
