hi I have a jet washer  but I don't like leaving it in van it  stinks the van out of petrol  in the morning  and iam a bit wary of spark plug
do you jet washers leave your systems  in the van or do you have a  way of stopping the petrol smell

My machine never leaves the van, and I like the occasional smell of petrol  ......... Just open the doors when your working or leave ya windows down half an inch of a night to help ventilate

thanks I have wiped everything down and going to leave in van overnight  to see if the smells the same  if it smells bad I may have a leak  like you said  so I will fix   

rob the I read in the instructions  remove spark plug  when storing in a vehicle or  store shed etc    but I forget to take out sometimes

I did thimk of that ben  I thimk I may have a small pin prick leak it was stored in my garage for a month  did not really check the petrol level after use  I will find out tomorrow when I check

Who told you to remove the spark plug?
Doing that you run the risk of dirt entering the bore plus you may knacker the threads constantly removing and re fitting it.
Do you remove the plugs from your car when you park it?

it was the user manual if stored for long periods take out spark plug an cover over the machine  this will stop accidental  spark and fire  and also take out all petrol   when stored for more than a month    I ve never taken it out  probably forget to put it back

Do all you guys take the machine out of the van when jet washing???
 I was THINKING of leaving the thing in the van and just having the back doors and windows open and running it straight from the van - is this a big no no. My machine is a pain to take out being a bloody heavy 9HP diesel thingy with dodgy wheels. I also have a 400 litre water tank in the van and when the machine is outside the van it does reach my tank  so have to get the wheelie bin out. First season doing this so just a noob No p taking please

My machine won't come out the van, just leave the door open with the exhaust pointing outwards much easier and faster than unloading it all the time.

Don't know but it's on the contents insurance, but you need a fork lift to get it out anyway.

Same as Rob there and why would it matter to the insurance ....... It's a pressure washer not a car bomb !!

When u took out insurance did u say to ur insurance oh I take it out the van before I use it

ive started leaving the washer in the van now   still slightly smells of petrol  but theres no leaks   its not a solid bulk head its a caged
