Title: Commercial kitchen cleaning help!
Post by: jamie macdonald on June 07, 2016, 06:06:08 pm
Hi,

Does anyone have any experience with commercial kitchen cleaning and pricing?
Ive been asked to quote a few but think i maybe going in too low for the amount of time they end up taking to do.
i have a good osprey frank steam cleaner i use to do the bulk of the work but im considering getting a dip tank and maybe a steam pressure washer with lance for the vents?

Any advice, costing sheets, recommendations for equipment / chemicals would be appreciated.

Hi Jamie,

I can't really help with pricing or recommendations for equipment but I thought you might find useful a document called "A Guide to Kitchen Hygiene"  which deals with the regular cleaning and maintenance of commercial kitchens and the legal requirements placed on the owners of  such establishments.

The document also gives advice on setting up a regular cleaning regime and a detailed cleaning program.  Whilst it won't help you with your one off cleaning, I think any knowledge you can pass on to your clients post clean will enhance your reputation as an expert in your field and increase the chance of repeat business.

You can download the document for free by following this link  http://cdn2.hubspot.net/hub/441079/file-2124005344-pdf/A_Guide_to_Documents/Guide_to_Kitchen_Hygiene_06.pdf.

I have also attempted to upload the document, sorry if it doesn't work it's my first post on this site.

Best wishes for your future success.

Gary
