Title: Softwashing slate tile roof.
Post by: zesty on April 14, 2019, 10:18:32 am
Up till now I haven’t Softwashed a slate tiled roof.

Any ideas on mix strength? Guessing it’s going to be less than concrete tiles.

I’m also anticipating it will come up relatively well compared to concrete tiles being that slate is less porous and rough.

5-1 mix should be fine , just be aware if there are mineral deposits in the slate it will turn it rusty brown in colour like the effect hypo has on lead , this shows up especially if it’s a lighter grey slate rather than the darker colours
