canvessing leaflets

hi having bought some previous work off a window cleaner, i have never really canversed myself as all the work i pick up is from when im on the job and by word off mouth, and now im looking 2 expand as my mate is joining the firm, has anyone got any leaflets i could look at to help me. help would be apprieciated

You don't have to register with the police. I would imagine that you would have to go to the local police office in the area that you work, Icould be wrong though................ I often am.

In the copy of the leaflet that was posted it claims that the sills/ledges are included in the service. I was wondering how that is done considering that a wfp seems to be being used?

I bet I do.
Some people think that cleaning a frame and sill has something to do with getting a cleaning product and using it to buff them up.

I think that regular cleaning of a sill and frame with WFP brings them up just as good though I would agree the results are not as "immediate" as getting a bottle of "Mr I clean everything sparliklingly clean bang" can get.

When you clean a house for the first time it's advisable to use a ladder and clean the sills by hand just to ensure all stubborn marks/dirt are removed. Then each time you re-clean just by changing the angle of the brush is suffcient enough to maintain a good standard.

We tend to revisit a sill by ladder ever 6-9 months just to make certain nothing has been missed.

Here is a leaflet I use (self designed and able to print on printer).

The editable version is in Microsoft Publisher format and has worked well for me.

This is in jpg format as the forum does not allow the uploading of a .pub file (e-mail me or reply here with your email to have it sent to you...)

With a leaflet drop of 120 leaflets I got a 10% response.

I have thoushands and thoushands of full colour 150gsm front and back leaflets sitting in my office. They have before and after pics, my registered logo and very clever and thought out wording. They were designed by a pro, look the dogs and cost me alot of money. However I dont really go after domestic anymore.

So back to what I said first of all, Sanity if you could send me a copy for a pal of mine that would be great.

yeah, my round is fairly compact. Indeed, when I was traditional I used to walk for most of my work. I am now WFP trolley and have a van, but still my round only covers a quater of the estate (with 2 or three jobs per street I leafleted...) The 12 jobs I got from that first leaflet drop were the cheaper end of the estate I have to admit, where there may not have been a window cleaner for quite some time hence the highish response rate, but they have all remained happy customers (even through the transition from trad to WFP).

And other leaflet drops in other areas have had a good response too. A typical drop of 500 of these leaflets will return maybe 5 jobs just from those leaflets, plus another 1 or two from word of mouth / recommendation.. Still not a bad response for a couple of hours fresh air

all i did was type a letter style leaflet explaining how the wfp system works and put quote boxes in, as i walked in the drive i estimated how much it would be to clean and wrote the quote in the boxes. i averaged 5 jobs per 100 delivered...... people are more likely to phone if they know how much its going to cost beforehand...........

WHY! Put your own stamp on your business not someone else's.

I understand not everyone has a creative side but take ideas from a few and make your own. If you can't actually make yourself then get a professional to do it. They will knock one up in less than an hour, £25 an hour! Bargain! then you have it for life! Plus keep it simple and to the point.
