Nelson

The Prochem courses are very good and contain a lot of practical demonstrations. Some of the other courses available are more theoretical and are better to do after you have at least some experience.

Unfortunately, many carpet cleaners have no training whatsoever and learn by 'trial and error'

Whatever you do - do some training!

Hi Nelson

I would agree with Mike

get as much training under your belt as possible maybe find out if there is a carpet cleaner in your area who will let you go out with him for a few days and learn abit of him or her. Trust me there are some guys out there who will help you.

But to me knowledge is king!

Hope this helps  ;)

Once again, if you do not want to put yur town on your profile put your rough location (eg N. Worcs). It is amazing how much more help you will get from 'your local friendly carpet cleaner'
This is not a dig at you personally but it would help if all people did this.

I'll help if you are near.

Nelson,
i have done the prochem two day course and the ncca two day course, both very good but i would choose the ncca if doing just one.
prochem not as yet recognised by ncca and therefor if you decided to join you would have to do the ncca training as well.
check your messages.
cheers paul

All though on this board we try to help one another, in the thrust of THe Real World regrettably not all carpet cleaners are friendly.
