Car upholstry
« on: August 21, 2005, 02:19:17 pm »
Looking for some more experienced heads to answer this I think.

I currently use a water extraction system (karcher)for my carpet and upholstry on the cars that i valet and have a non extraction steam cleaner which i use for small spot stains and velour "revival".

Are there any "dry cleaning" products for upholstry that I can buy and use. ie as used by high street dry cleaners type stuff

Or

A better system than the one i am currently using

Basically i just want to be able to leave my customers premises and they don't have wet/mildly damp seats.....

Thanks

Phil

 hi there

I was a car valeter for ten years and used dri cleaning products for car upholstery. They are expensive (£25 for 5 Litres) & give off strong fumes and if by accident to get on to  plastic will melt.  The best is to spray the seats with carpet & upholstery shampoo and use a terry cloth (100% cotton) to remove the dirt. Then let air dry.

hope this is any Help
