I used the Joka Polars last winter and didn't get cold hands once, they were always dry and toasty, infact I'm quite looking forward to a cold snap to get them back on ;D

Are them Joka Polars any good for trad work?  When it is cold I am ok apart from my hands.

All the years i was trad i'd say personally i wouldn't have worn JP's bit to bulky to detail with etc but now i'm wfp hanging on to a pole i'd say they're ideal.

I never really wore gloves when trad "i wiz a real man" but towards the end of my trad days as i got a wee bit older i wore the unger rubber fellas quite effective but god they made your hands stink

I wear a pair of these.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sealskinz-Waterproof-Ultra-Gloves-Medium/dp/B000UFOOZM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=sports&qid=1284796142&sr=8-2

only trouble with sealskinz is the outer skin of the glove is not waterproof so your hands end up freeezing on cold days stopped using them years ago for that very reason will be buying some glacier gloves this year they now have a fleece lining you can get them from cleaning spot they look good  for £20.00  should last years trad or wfp
