Does anyone  know where you can get trained in the use of cleaning all types of surfaces, e.g. Metal cladding, paint, brick, concrete plasitics using a pressure washer. I live in Essex but will travel.

not sure there are specific pressure washing training centres out there!
spend hours on this forum search for paticular surfaces and how the people on here clean them you will find loads of great info,

I've been pressure washing for years but recently had trouble with some stains to some cladding, so thought would ask on the forum, see if there was any training out there,Thanks for your advice lads.

Sorry got it wrong they ask you to buy a buisness package ie m/cs etc sell dvds and carry out 'training days' i know of them locally far better ways to spend your money

So the 'people who have given good reports of them'  have been referred onto yourself via smart seal assume you must use their products - seal

All you need is the CSCS card - approx £37.00 and you will come away from any time spent with me knowing what to do and believing you can make a viable business out of it!!!

We are finishing a job in Preston on Wednesday and I have three other stores booked in, various locations around the country.

As an addition to the above.

A network of contractors is then established for any future works. These will be paid works as I know that you are working at a level that we have set and they can range from one day works up to several weeks.

Not many people on here can say that day in and day out they are working on multiple surface cleaning, at a very high level, for supermarkets. I can give you more experience, hands on than any training and I am one of the most driven people you will meet.

I grab any opportunity to move our business forward and this could work well.

Todays work involve pressure washing to an elevated wall - buff brick, low level pressure washing to kerb edges on a petrol filling station, pressure washing to a drive thru car wash & car wash booth (glass to both) and floors, tarmac cleaning, with chewing gum removal, builders detritus and paint removal spotting.

Sounds as though you are following in my footsteps Rob from my previous business which I Sold in 2004 to Blade Access in Bradford. Well done - it just shows what you can achieve through determination.

2 different DR companies in different parts of the country have bought kit from them and received a number of quality leads from them and some training , so they gave me good reports of smartseal , obviously they will have paid a little over the odds for the equipment , but if they got quality leads I guess it was worth it.

Very often with cleaning it is knowing what the contaminant is and how to tackle it.  I am sure I have used this analogy before on here but without wishing to bore anyone here it is again.

You have oil on your hands.  You wash them under cold water and some comes off.  Now you change the water to warm/hot and more comes off.  Now you add swarfega/fairy liquid and it all comes off.

It is about knowing how to approach the problem with the best solution.  All three were working in the example above of oil on hands but a combination of the three was the best solution.

It is exactly the same in cleaning!  Pressure Washing gets nearly all surfaces clean but it is knowing when to have it Hot or Cold, knowing when to turn the pressure up or down and knowing when you possibly need to add something to help.  I can teach a Monkey to pressure wash something in 10 minutes but learning to do it correctly is a little more difficult. 1000's of people buy DIY Pressure washers everyday but the $64,000 Question is How Many Can use Them?

if we wasnt so busy would be really interested myself (if you would let me...)
seems like a win win situ for all parties.
Would be far better than any std training or getting tied in with a 'poxy' sealing company.

The more the merrier. Had a situation this afternoon that would have left us understaffed for the first time. Anyone with determination, aspiration and who may want some large scale commercial works (but not all the time) is welcome.

I certainly have the work load!!! I don't need to get additional labour in but my vision for the future is that it will grow beyond our current availability and I need to ready for this. It isn't the best paid work but it can be consistent and I go on little and often, rather than charge a lot and only get a little. Seems to be working!
