Pressure washer training days
« on: May 22, 2013, 08:29:47 am »
I am going to bite the bullet on this one and with the small amount of experience gained i will be offering training in pressure washing.

Not formalised to date but i will be putting something together in the next couple of weeks and once done I will post an update.

The dates will be at our trading address, which is not pretty - it is only a service unit, on a working farm. There is plenty of opportunity to get stuck in and get dirty and will be mostly hands on, with some paperwork and I will put a certificate of training on the end of it.

If there is interest I will keep all updated

Rob ;D

Is this going to be a recognised certificate? Help with insurance? Count towards H&S?

Matt

From the window cleaning section -

I will say from the start - if people are expecting fancy this might not be for them. I am not a teacher, I will give you advice from experience and suggestion.

We may all gain from it, me included and will be more informal - don't come suited and booted

What you do with the info given will be up to you.

The certificate will only count for something if it is used properly and holds no actual value, what you can say with it is that you have been certificated by a company that works with Tesco & Sainsbury's and has worked on the Olympic Park - that has to have some credence and i believe could be used effectively in marketing.

I would have to look into how it could have more credibility than the above

I'm surprised you have managed to persuade Roger to interupt his schedule to train your blokes  ;D Will the certificate be from obscure organisation written in Welsh like my trauma and bio hazard remediation qualification  ;D

I'd be interested - started to zero in on stone/tile cleaning for inside the house but no nothing about external cleaning particularly regarding the set up needed - just gleaned that second hand equipment was a good way to go if you know what you're looking for.

Rob, it's got potential. I knew someone would give it a crack sooner than later.

Maybe you could get some pointers from Ron Musgraves in the meantime.

Hello Tim

I am looking into hire fees for two local halls for the mornings and we will then go up to the unit for some hands on. Refreshments will be included - not alcohol though ;D

I too am interested in attending.

A friend of mine applied for transport manager at Eddie Stobarts they rejected his claim of well qualified for the  job because he had parked run away trolleys at Tescos for five years.

that's one way to saturate the market i suppose. i would have thought a failing pressure washing company would set this up not a succesful one. those that can do, and those that can't teach as they say.

Hi Rob
I would be interested in your training day. I'm moving to Spain in the next year or so and I'm looking to add services that will be transferable, as there aren't many carpets to clean over there  ;D
