I might go back next week. I've been getting it right in my head and then I can work more safely. My Missus is off work earlier in the week so it might be a good time to; but then the school work starts again.
I wish things were clearer on the lockdown, testing and strategies etc but we have to make the best of it.
I can't stay off 'til September, potentially, and I'd sooner go back earlier than I wanted to and do a few hours a day, a few days a week.
And don't forget, the first May Bank Holiday is on Friday the 8th.
You turncoat you😜😂
I'm not back yet!
I'd have stayed off until June, no problem. September's a different matter. If the schools don't go back my partial lockdown could be that long.
I've not been critical of anyone working, or leaving home, with good reasons. It's the ones doing it irresponsibly that I had a go at.
It's not all about window cleaning.
🎣🎣 I know, I was just pulling your leg mate 😉

No, I'm not having it; I'm not going back now .
Attitudes have changed, understandably. We've never been in this position before and all this uncertainty is a nightmare. If the government doesn't know how long it will go on for, what chance do we have?

Let's not forget either, there are still people promoting/encouraging others to work and themselves actually believe that you can't pass Covid-19 on to anyone else if you have no symptoms!! Someone has a duty to protect both him and others!!😬😆

Well it looks like most of the ones preaching about staying at home and not working are all slowly returning to work already lads ;D
If there was any preaching it was done to those didn't understand the guidelines and that still applies.
And there was as much, if not more, preaching from those returning to work earlier. Like yourself on this thread.
How can your preach about continuing to work ? I think it was plain to see that those who said they where doing it for the good of the country were either being sarcastic or joking, the only preaching done was by those who thought it was morally wrong to continue to work no matter the government advice.

Now that nearly everyone is singing from the same hymn sheet regards working, what are we gonna argue about now? 🤐😁

Brexit anyone?

I spoke to each employee over the phone yesterday, they are all desperate to get back to work. I'm going to send them all the new rams and have a "meeting" next week. Could be back at some level the following week.

hopefully you and them will be back in business soon then mate.......good luck!

They weren't all being sarcastic and joking. They also said we were ignoring the government guidelines. And they were even telling us what the chance of us getting the virus was without knowing our circumstances or fully understanding the guidelines themselves.
I've only 'preached' about the guidelines and some didn't like them because they interfered with their lives. My 'preaching' wasn't all window cleaning related and I'll continue to do it.

Are charity donations tax deductible?

Yes, but it wouldn't affect the tax bracket you fall into:

I'm just saying you dont have to sit at home worrying about money and your business....just get out and work...nobody else is gonna give a toss if your business fails apart from you......

I wouldn't bank on the government bailing you out.......never trust a Tory!

You could say this without spouting numbers. It comes over a little crude.

I would give a toss if Harley's business failed because of the pandemic. And I give a toss about loads of other businesses that will fail.
I'd give that much of a toss I wouldn't keep reminding them my business didn't fail either. If it doesn't fail, that is.
