200 square metres of chewing gum removal
« on: July 23, 2010, 03:56:37 pm »
i have to quote 200 square metres of paving full of gum and dirty stains. i was thinking of using my fsc to cold wash the whole surface to remove any surface grime followed by a hot wash of the gum and any stubborn stains. was thinking of £2.50 a sq metre as  at £2 a sq metre is only £400 and it could take 2 days?  how would you go about the cleaning process and what would you charge?  its my first hot water wash and proper chewing gum job.  access and water supply are dead easy.  see pics below

Hi,

One man could bang that out easily in under a day, it's only 10m x 20m and nice sized slabs too. Won't get much sand etc in run off.

I would go over it first with a hot wash lance only to get rid of gum and then go over the whole area with fsc cleaner. Doing the gum last will probably leave clean spots.

Spot on with price I would think.

Cheers,

Huw
