I can't go to any courses becouse i am italian and my engish  spoken is not good.
I wash oriental rugs for 2 years with good results, but I do not feel very satisfied.
I have some difficulty on the light oriental rugs which are very dirty.
My washing method is:
-Dusting with rug budger
- Prespray a chemical (Which one is very very strong?)
- Agitation with Rotowash R30B
- Dwell time (some minutes)
- Rinse with Prochem Fibre & Fabric Rinse (portable machine)
- Dry with Vacuum and Airblower
ALL STEPS WITH COLD WATER

Hello Sergio,

I have used both Prochem and Alltec cleaning solutions over the years, and both supply a very good range of cleaning solutions.
I know Alltec have a far wider specialist range of specialist rug cleaning solutions, than Prochem, so I would definitely recommend you trying the Alltec range of rug cleaning chemicals.

Their website link is: https://alltec.co.uk/solutions/rug-cleaning-solutions/

As Scott has said Alltec do provide excellent training courses on carpet, upholstery and oriental rug cleaning.  However, I know you are living in Italy so training in the UK, I understand is for you out of the question, I'm afraid as I know you would learn a lot from the specialist training  provided at Alltec.

I would suggest you try and do a web search to see if you can find Oriental rug and carpet text books in Italian, if available to help grow your knowledge of the design, construction and cleaning of these valuable items. I do have a small library of these books of my own I can recommend to you, but they are all written in English only,  I'm afraid.

Just to say that your written English is very good.
Good luck Sergio,
Kind regards Phil.

Sergio, Here is a list of Alltec pre-spray solutions suitable for specialist rug cleaning. These pre-sprays are meant to be flushed out of the rug after cleaning with a lower pH rug cleaning solution.

1. Alltec Oriental Rug Cleaner Citrus Burst. This pre-spray is formulated for removing greasy and heavy soiling and is mixed with hand hot water.
2. Alltec Oriental Rug Cleaner. Pre-spray for removing everyday soiling from rugs.
3. Alltec Oriental Rug Cleaner. Detergent Free cleaner. A pre-spray for delicate wool and silk fibres using Micro splitting technology.

The Chemspec products are sold through Legend Brands in the UK, So they may also be available to you in Italy, if you search Chemspec Europe, Legend Brands.

Good luck,  and I hope this helps you. Phil.

I have a Rotowash R30B. It s not classic rotary machine but it's similar to CRB tm3. Rotowash is suitable for washing with shampoo?

Sergio,

I have just looked on the Rotowash English website and they do say on the website the machine can be used for residential and commercial carpet cleaning.  If you must use the Rotowash for cleaning delicate Oriental rugs, then Rotowash supply a softer set of brushes on their website called polishing brushes, for carpet cleaning.

I would suggest using a low foam carpet cleaning /rug cleaning formulation shampoo/detergent in the Rotowash, to reduce the chances of to high a foam build up with this type of machine.

I hope in the future you will be able to buy a suitable low speed rotary carpet cleaner, to help you in your work.

May I suggest you look up oriental rug cleaning videos on YouTube, to see the various ways people clean these expensive items.
There are some really knowledgeable videos on there.
Good luck Phil.

Hi Sergio,

Here is a list from three International manufactures of rotary slow speed carpet cleaning machines for you.
The machine I  personally use is a Numatic, model number HFM 1515.
If you go to http://www.numatic.com their International website, they have instructions in Italian.

The second is from Italian manufacture Ghibli Wirbel.  The rotary machine that they recommend for carpet shampooing is the Ghibli SB133. http://www.ghibli.com again you can read the site in Italian.

The third rotary machine is from Truvox Orbis.   An Orbis 200/ 200HD, a single disc rotary carpet cleaning machine.
Website http://www.truvox.com.  Again  you can read the site in Italian.

All the above machines have a rotary drive pad spin speed of between 150 and 200 rpm, which is not to fast to damage the carpet and rug fibres.

Hope the above helps you Sergio.
Good luck Phil.

I was very disappointed with the Prochem Prespray Gold. This chemical cleaner does not clean heavily soiled carpet.

Sergio,
The Chemspec Formula 90,  and the Chemspec Oriental Rug Shampoo as well the Alltec Rug cleaning the shampoo, are formulated for carpet cleaning rather than using as a prespray.
The Alltec Oriental Rug Citrus Burst is formulated for prespraying heavily soiled rugs, and the Alltec Oriental Rug Cleaner are specifically formulated to use as Oriental rug presprays.

The only cleaning solution in your list that may not be suitable for prespraying and cleaning delicate Oriental rugs I suggest would be the Chemspec Formula 90.
Phil.
