Sometimes I pressure wash roofs https://youtu.be/7JTd12Bgmso

I do pressure washer UPVC …window cleaners will always disagree with me here as they have spent thousands on Di set ups…which gives excellent results on windows. I  don't clean windows.
I have never damaged plastic pressure washing…some use jiff ,solvent ,caustic etc . These products dull /damage plastics.

Here is the map for professionals who soft wash roofs  http://www.roofclean.co.uk/distributor-and-applicators.php
And one for Ireland http://www.softwashireland.ie/distributor-and-applicators.php
Can you show me a map of "professional cleaners " that don't use  Quats so we can evaluate the information….We can then decide if professional cleaners are reluctant to offer this method as you state.  Based on fact not speculation.

Just a suggestion but I would use a couple of rope protectors where ropes are rubbing on ridge tiles if you don't your ropes will soon be knackered
better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove any doubt

So unless you are on that companies list you are not a professional  roof  cleaner? Are they an independant testing organisation or is it a case of buy our products and pay us and your on the list?

Do they do ongoing job visits to evaluate that your are doing the job right and following H&S guidelines? Do they check your liability insurance to make sure they are  adequate ? How are they accessing your professionalism?

No …It is just a  list an "indication" of "professional cleaning" companies that have had some form of basic training in this method and are happy to recommend this it.  I was going to compare to the list of  " professional cleaners are reluctant to offer it when they can't tell customers how quick their product will work" . …general statistics of those that do and those that don't recommend this method.

I have seen many surfaces wrecked by professional cleaning companies…possibly 10x more than those  destroyed by the  DIY  (market) attempts at cleaning.

This is check a trade…rated people , Safe contractor , CSCS    etc …. we can all pay to be "considered"  professional.

A professional job is down to the individual contractor.

The problem is that people need to try products on different types of substrates with different degrees of contamination!  Sadly lots of people are sceptical and often frightened to try other methods!  Just because hypo works on some things as do acids does not mean we have to use themall the time especially when,  gentler more enviromentally friendly cleaning methods work just as well albeit,  a little slower, so what?  By all means knock people and advice if you have tried the methods yourself but don't just knock something because you think it's  wrong.  Chris Scott and I  have had a few run ins over the last few years but in the main he is a very skilled professional with a great understanding of the task at hand and most of the time he employs the best and most efficient methods to tackle specific problems.

I've just been researching the active ingredients in some patio/driveway cleaners and came across this thread by googling the same stuff as Smurf!

Any updates? Does the Mistral stuff work?

Yes it does as it's 50% DDAC exactly the same stuff as what others are selling just with a different label on it.
Mind Algoclear Pro is 40% DDAC but is pure unlike the other 50% malarky. After saying that you also may need to use hypo or hypo gel as well. lol

Bac50 with additives, no idea what the additives are but it's cheaper than http://www.bonnymans.co.uk/products/product.php?categoryID=1929&productID=8802 which I'll assume is bac50 with some other additives.
Buying 20l of the softwash pro50 (including uk delivery)  is only £24.00  more than buying 20l of (bonnymans pro50 with local delivery)
