I started off with an electric cox reel with custom Spring controller (pure freedom now use it) apart from speed it was awesome.

Moved onto a power up HD reel and apart from the chain jumping twice in all the years I've used it and the hose slipping off the sides it's a really good reel.

I now have 2 Power up 3D reels and so far they seem to be really good.  I have had a couple of leaks and yet to stop them but i am investigating  tomorrow why that is.

There's 7 vans out and my franchisees use Power Up Hd reels, I don't think Power Up 3D would last in their hands even if they  purchased them with their own money.

My advice would be to go for a Pure Freedom reel for employee's, as for time saving it's a no brainer.

It’s sat gathering dust along with its twin manual brothers.  Not decided on what todo with them yet. Idea for a softwash setup.

I've just re-ordered a powerup 3D from window cleaning warehouse. There is a lead time of about 2 weeks due to demand and supply problems.

The ones that think they are not worth having are the ones that park on the road and clean 30-40ft away from the van,once you start using lots of hose job after job you see the light.

Yeah. I'm changing from 50m to 100 m of microbore so I dont have to move the van so much on streets where I have a good run of houses. I'm happy reeling in 50 with my manual proloc but would soon get cheesed off with reeling in 100 m.

About £100 more for a electric vs a Cox reel so I think it should cover itself fairly quickly. I would imagine that the Cox reel would outlast any electric reel by some margin though.

I still have a huge hand crank Cox reel in my garage brilliant build quality had it years and it would last years more,the one I have you could get 200 meters of microbore on.

Ive just ordered a basic pure freedom manual reel which will be getting the D. I.Y  electric reel treatment.

I considered buying a leccy one but can't stomach an extra £400 for something that I can make for £50 and an hours labour.
