How old is your main pole?
« on: October 16, 2016, 09:07:38 am »
Im no tight git at anything in life but want to get it out there that my SLX25 which has been used everyday 6/7 days a week is 7 years old, only thing changed is the clamps! I can see it lasting another 7 years also, i also have an SLX18 thats 5 years old that gets used when i have 2men in a van that still has the old clamps on and is fighting strong with no spinning. Also to note i never clean out the poles or look after them with maintenance replacing tape etc, in fact the end tape on the SLX25 had totally warn away about 4/5 years ago.
Anyone else had a good l ife with there pole?

CLX-22 about three years old, just had its third brush and fitted the upgraded clamp kit - Brilliant ! None of my previous poles ever lived long enough to warrant a replace brush.

I've had my SLX 25 for 5yrs, still great. Replaced with the new clamps when they came out only because I fancied the newer version of the clamp. I've got Xtremes now, so I have given it to a mate on permanent loan  ;D. It's been excellent.

Ahh i thought i was the only 1 where its lasted so long. Think Alex made a boo boo as they last 3/4 times longer than other poles out there.

My slx 22 is two years old

One of the clamps failed and started to spin, but i glued it back on and is fine.

sections are getting towards the end of their life in terms of the clamps runnig out od thread but i think i should be able to build it up and refurb it at some point

Dont intend on buying another anytime soon,  hoping for another 2 years out of it

new main pole roughly every 2 years or so.mine are usually knackered by then(and thats with cleaning them every month)but thats using xtreme poles.its always the top 2 sections that wear down after this amount of time.
price higher/work harder!

Krzysztof Nazwisko is about 96 years old. He's the oldest pole I know.

Hope that helps
