Most domestic 12" Most commercial 14"

I carry both blades and channels (dog-eared) in my BOAB but only one handle (unger) to clip them into as necessary.

Smaller is better with GG4 as there is less slip.

(Downstairs and insides only now as wfp for nearly all upstairs)
It's a game of three halves!

I mostly use an 18 " as i learnt with this size and find it easier, and quicker occasoinaly 12",but prefer the big one.

youve hit the nail on the head, smaller is better with gg4 as there is less slip.  Using a 14" ive found its been leaving bits of soap on the window when blading off because of the lack of slip

Thought i was loosing my touch :'(

We cut all our 12" blades down to 9" an they are so much better and easier to use, they fit virtually all the windows that are fitted nowadays as well as the little georgian ones.

I have started out with a 12 inch  but do some council houses and a load of them have the exact same fiddly frames,so went round a couple of weeks ago and measured the glass because some of the panes with the 14 inch were awkward, any way realised if I got an 18 inch and cut it down to 15 and a half could do one quick downward sweep instead of s - ing down.
Hoping to extend the round next month so will be keeping me eye on glass sizes.

I've several, from about 5" or so all the way up to 18"
Rarely bother with the 18" now though.
Mostly use the 12" one, and interchange frequently with the 10" one.
I've a variety of different handles, put prefer my a mile the Unger Swivle lock one, particularly for pole work, much better than a 'fixed' handle.

I'd quite like to try out a wag-tail, I'll get round to buying a wag-tail one of these days I'm sure ;)

I use 100% pure water in my bucket and a tiny drop of Ettore Squeegee Off. This gives fantastic results but it causes the blade to drag a bit on the glass so I have gone down from 12" to 10" and use Pulex Soft rubbers. Also have a 6" called the titchy and carry a 4" blade which swaps into the 6" handle for leaded etc

I'm with you on this, I would like to try one as well. I use a vise versa now and then but it can only be used on a certain build of window.

Perhaps we ought to ask for a freebie sample and send it around participating members to use for a day before deciding to buy one each?  ;)
