« on: November 15, 2005, 09:21:49 pm »
I have just recived a call from the housing manager of university
student accommodation, she is very keen for me to quote to clean some three storey flats and maybe more to come!. they are about 1 meter square and 120 to 150 of them I think! to be cleaned every 12 weeks,  I will know more on Monday at the meeting. It seems I am the only runner on this one! This could be a big break for me and I realy want it now the questions
How do I price this one, the same as residential ?
What do I wear, work unform or jacket etc ?
What do I take with me to the meeting
Thanks
Fingers crossed Steve

Price it at an hourly rate. Wear a uniform as she is expecting a w/c not a soilicitor. Take a pad and pen to make notes on the building and any conditions she may specify. Be calm and good luck!

Hi
I find the easiest way to price work like flats find out how many flats (say 100 flats how much do you think the company would want to pay per flat say £3 and then add extra time on for communal areas and entrance doors ect price £350)  It may take you half a day to clean sounds a lot of money but when you think the company probably rents each of the student flats out for £65 per week.

So on them figures £65 x 100 = £6500
 6500 x 12 = £78000
So every 12 the company would be turning over £78000
and you would be charging £350 I think they would be able to manage to pay that and still have profit

Go smart with company name on clothes
a sign writen van helps
Also a copy of insurance and a list of refrances

Hope this helps
