Iv'e got a 30ft residential coming on monday 
will let you know what i think when iv'e had a go

they have been a bit slow on delivery but then kirsty has been on hols so

I would say check price you pay with them as website prices dont inc Del or VAT

I can confirm the poles are good I bought the 30 ft but the vikan brush is a different matter theres no jets as such just 90 degree elbow connecter and 1 has broken within 30 mins now i have to find a replacement tommorrow morning pretty quick.... althogh the vikan brush itself is good

Hi chris what do you mean no jets only an elbow .Did you buy residetial or professional because that one of the sizes i was going to buy .is it very light or heavy.

When i say no jets i mean no metal or hardened product , just a plastic elbow pipe connector pushed into the hole thats drilled into the brush ,thats it
I did speak to Kirsty today to tell her about the jets ( or lack of ) , she did ask me if i wanted her to send some replacements but i declined as i have replacements already ( metal ones ) Ones that will last longer than 30 mins

The pole that i bought was the 30ft residential pole , It seems reasonably light certainly not heavy by any means but fully extended its quite a handful if your gonna use it on 1st floor i would leave the smallest bore pole in and start to extend from the second clamp this will make it a bit more stable when brushing from side to side

Can't comment on Gardiner Poles, but I had a demo of the Ionics poles this week at our local wc supplies shop - very, very good (nice and light and the brush I thought was superb).
I did consider several different manufacturers/suppliers, but the demo tipped the scales.
Ordered 18' tonight and delivery will be on Friday.

I went for the 18' MultiPole - it was £107.95 + Delivery + VAT.
I know you can get cheaper but I loved the pole when I used it at the demo day.
They do a 30' at £184.95 + Delivery + VAT.
(prices are listed intheir catalogue).

Hello Chris Hello Matt    we are using ionic pole the 12ft  and i dont know who.s 25ft .The ionic pole is alittle short for some 1st floor windows.And the pole clamps seem a little tacky for the price as hey are stuck on to each section which means once they start to play up  you cant change them .The 25ft pole which is blue by the way  is quite meaty and has pole clamps that i think looks like the ones fitted to yours chris and are robust and interchangeable  the problem wit h the blue pole is it is in 9ft sections and is very whippy at the top thin section  .I am looking to buy two more poles  but dont think ionics residential range im to keen on for price  and durability. Hence why im interested in the one you have bought chris .Im looking to buy an 18ft and a 30ft. but where to go  .incidently ionic are onlly about 12 miles up the road.

If your blue pole is in 9ft sections doesnt that make it a bit awkward to extend , I mean mine is in 6ft sections and my max body reach is 7ft6ins so I can only extend 18" at a time which makes it a bit of a job on the up and down

You cant beat an ionics residential 18`

£110 with a monofilament double trim brush.more suited for wfp than a vican brush and a billy no make pole !!!!!!!!!

Hi chris   yes the 9ft sections make it b........ awkward  i have acouple of choices cut it down to a 18ft 3x6 because the clamps are easy to take off,orkeep it as spare and buy an 18ft and 30 ft gardener poles. Im not totally convinced ionic resi poles are up to a reasonable amount of use. And dave yes my ionic has been fine up till now but showing some real signs of use .ionic resi bit pricey for what you get .

How long a working life should I expect out of an 18' ioincs resedential pole?

Are the clamps suspect?

I was very impressed with the pole on the demo I had and I have it on the top of my pole shopping list with a bit of resevastion.

well for £110 what do you expect.

It is so light and easy to use miles easier to use than my £250 brodex goosenecked commercial pole.

Dave its £127 inc vat  and no delivery. Im looking for two more poles im not saying they are crap .We have been using ours for some four months .that is the 12ft.but it looks alot older than that and clamps are slipping.I need an 18ft and a 30ft  im a bit concerned that if i pay £217 inc vat  for the 30ft is it going to fair any better.Gardener poles 30 ft no brush no hose just replacement pole £106 inc vat. makes me think.

my pole was £107.90 inclusive of vat and delivery and the thirty footer is about £135

  What I would really like for residential is a 16ft pole made up of 4 x 4ft sections, then it would be long enough for all first floor windows and close down short enough to do ground floor windows easily. At the moment I have a 30ft and 2 x 2ft Ionics poles, but changed to vikan brushes as they seem more hard wearing than Ionics brushes
