Title: School cleaners / Monthly wages

Hi all, I now have several Schools and up until now we pay monthly for the actual hours worked during that month.

Some Schools we are only contracted 39 term weeks so when it shuts for example in Summer, the staff do not receive any wages unless they have accrued holiday pay. I am thinking of dividing the yearly wages by 12 months and paying them the same each month whether they work or not which may help with staff retention. HOWEVER what happens if we get a new starter just before the summer close down and then we pay them a month and they don't come back in the new term. How would we ever recover these wages paid out ??

Any suggestions would be most welcome
