Darren

I'm a current owner and i've had some problems with the pump. What i will say is the pump and head was completely replaced under warranty( with out any problem ).The replacement had a different  head unit and is performing well.Follow Dave's instructions and you will be fine.

Its a great machine and i suspect very similar in performance to your raptor.  I would add a cfr handtool to your basket as well!!

Your Raptor is worth £1000 but I'll be surprised if you get it as there are too many units around going cheap.

Clinton doesent make any diiference now i collect the machine on Tuesday just took it for granted they would be Lamb vacs but saying that ive got a WFP trolley system and a backpack and both have Chineese pumps in them and i no for a fact the pumps are lasting just as long as the Shurflo pumps and are about half the price so maybe they might not be to bad.

It can be sod to fill, until you get the technique right, any water that goes over the lip of the tank runs down and through the machine. I use a bucket with a scoop, it was intended for feeding horses, A lipped bucket tends to run everywhere.
I've contemplated running a bead of silicon sealer around the tank lip.
Were your customers impressed, mine usually are.

Well chuffed with the machine on the next 2 jobs no problems with the water running down the machine  just got to be carefull filling it the machine looks the part and for the size of it its dead easy to move about and its easy to get into the van when using the ramp. What a difference dont need to fart about trying to get the pump working already like it better than the Raptor but its still early days dont no if the heat is as good as the Raptor need a few more jobs before i find out the only thing that i will have to get used to is the hose to the waste tank found that a bit tricky.Ive been using it with a standard wand do you think it works better with the Wonder Wand had a shot of one on Monday and liked it are they worth the money.cheers Darren

I had the wonderwand with my CFR500 and thought it was very good.
Dont know how quick you would go thro water as the CFR was recirculating.

Try and get one on a week trial, then you can hand back if you dont like.

Yes they are, and they are £100 cheaper than when i had mine.
Have you got the perfect heat valve open, if it's closed your water will be about 15 - 20c lower.
With a Wonderwand and the pressure at 200-250 Psi, you will empty tha tank in approx 1 Hour.
Wind it up to 500Psi and it takes about 20 Min's.

If you look inside on the pipe that comes from the pump to the heater, you will see a branch coming off it, this is controlled by a valve, if it's pointing down the water diverts through the perfect heat coils, before going to the heater.

Hi Darren

Are you using the hide a hose's type supplied with the machine??

If so I changed to a normal solution line high psi rated and found it much better!!

I wondered the same about the wonderwand, its an expensive item just wish i could give a good try beforehand.

Joe iam using the soution and vac hose from my Raptor didnt fancy the hide a hose.AJB do you mean open the machine up take the 2 screws out would it not be set like that already nobody mentioned this to me i thought the water was already going though the perfect heat coils when the vacs are runing.

if the machine is brand new it is factory set to run through the perfect heat system and the valve is zip tied to off position.

On my machine the valve was not fully open.
The 2 screws don't come right out, you just loosen them to the point it will open, when replacing don't screw them in tight as they will cut into the solution tank, and why take the risk.

if you un do the two screws and lift the top body you will see the pump and it will have asticker on top explaining the valve if it is zipped tied down to the on position it is as factory produced no need to change.  word of advice if you have any probs with the heater leaks etc you can snip the zip tie turn the valve to the off position and this will by pass any water from goin throught the heater system.

because of the location of where the vacs are you dont want any water getting into them as they are bitch to change.

Another tip is to unscrew the waste tank lid when not clean as this will stop any condensation build up and preserve the machine.

All in all great bit of kit.

any probs my number is 07595 727491

The vac motors are some of the easiest to change i've come across,
You can change either motor in 10 min's easily, Perfect heat coils have QD's either end and come out together. Try changing number 1 motor on an old Woodbridge machine, that was much more of a fiddle, same applies to Ninja.
If you turn off the valve, you by-pass the Perfect heat system, (no preheat) not the heater.

Just read the manual it does say by-passes all the heating system, but in 2 years i've never turned it off.

Ive been using the Powerflight for 2 weeks now must say its some machine loved the Raptor when i first got it but this blows it away even for heat the Powerflight beats it anybody thats thinking of a new porty should take a look at one of these and Cleansmart are doing them for about £1670 machine only thats a steal iam still in two minds about the Wonderwand getting great results with my wand from Hydramaster.
