Ford Transit sliding door problem
« on: September 27, 2011, 11:03:14 pm »
I slammed my side van door today (by mistake) and I have seemed to have knackarded it!  :'(

There is a plastic "tyre" that covers the metel wheel that is fitted on the side door. This wheel/plastic trye set up fits in to the sliding rail on the side of my van.

At the moment the plastic tyre has slid off the wheel so the door is not sliding properly and the door doesn't close normaly, need to give it a final push to close it!

So do i need a new door sliding thingy? or is it a simple case of refitting that plastic tyre on the wheel? It doesn't look broken or anything.

Here is a picture:

thanks

Looks like it could be a nightmare to fit on your own.

You could nip into Halfrauds and get one of these

Always handy to have and it might be an easy fix.
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

The bottom one went on my hiace the other week, unless I propped it up when opening, it was coming off in my hand

The plastic wheel had come off due to corrosion so it was a full replacement for me

If you take it a dealers and ask to speak to the guy in parts he'll order the exact one for you, mine cost £40 and was easy to fit
