Superdrug are doing a special on Vaseline if that's what you need, be careful though, the dodgy shop assistant (Guy) puts it on the bottom shelf... :D

It's always the same isn't it? Is anywhere doing a special on Lurpack at the moment?

try mixing 3 tablespoons vanilla and water in a spray bottle. my mother used it on the smelly areas on the carpet but I don't know if that is going to work if the whole carpet is smelly

A carpet smells for a reason. If you dont know the history of the smell, then get it cleaned, then you know what you are walking on when you have bare feet.
A cleaned carpet is a healthier carpet.

haha, I liked that.

Carpet smell, especially if it is an old and persistent one is best to be removed by a professional cleaning company. Otherwise, you might ruin your carpet. If you want you can try cleaning your carpet with carpet shampoo, but you have to dry it well before you use it again.

Its not really worth getting someone in, they need replacing this year its just until than.

I think its where I used an old carpet cleaner that wasn't sucking up the dirty water properly so it kinda spread the dirt around rather than removed it and the carpets were soaked after so its left a dampish smell.

I will probs just get a rug doctor from Morrisons and do the whole flat for the time being, just wanted to know if the foam stuff would be worth buying until than as I have moved away from the area and they keep moaning about it.

Cheers.

 ;)

Use Rug Doctor Cleaning Soloutions plus 2 x 500ml of their odour spray
