Got a job on tomorrow, it's above freezing so it will get done. It's a concrete path around a bungalow and driveway. Thursday we have a conservatory roof clean. We keep leafleting through the winter month and as long as it's above freezing we work.
At the moment we are only doing a couple of days a week powerwashing the rest of the week carpet & upholstery cleaning.
I'm near the coast so rarely get the zero temps suffered in the rest of the country it was -1 last night, other parts of the country hit -6. come 9 o'clock it's always above freezing

thanks mike
has anyone had problems i did a few walls in october at the end and the walls were patchy damp for 1 half days if the temp dropped over night to -4 say would this effect the walls

In winter surfaces will get wet and sometimes over night they will freeze, it's no different to when we clean.
Theoretically freezing water can expand and cause surfaces to crack but how we clean is no different To Natural occurrences , a few hours of heavy rain will soak a surfaces more than pressure washing.

i thought that also just thought i would ask
iam still not going to clean until april time anyway took all the kit out the van today p washer window trolley pole reel all i have left is and a cdt2 carpet machine never freezes that thing fell down concrete stairs 4 times fell out of van twice / a tank full of water there the only things that dont freeze
-
Pressure washer kit can get damaged in freezing temps if not frost protected somehow. Same as any other kit if just water is left inside them to freeze. That includes wfp and carpet cleaning gear too.
Like Mike said you also have to screw your loaf and not go upsetting any custards in the process trying to work in cold weather.

Cleaned two patios yesterday - like ice rinks after I reeled the hoses in. Spent this morning pressure washing - indoors ;D

I only managed to do one exterior clean including a composite deck and patio yesterday before it started to freeze again. I wfp the windows last and by the time I went to check and wipe over the sills they where frozen solid too. Oops! ::)roll
Got 4 provisionally booked in for tomorrow subject to weather....Yehaa! ice rink time methinks :P

Pulled out the drive at 5:45 this morning (after defrosting the windscreen) must have been -1. Been to the gym, now sat having a coffee in Costa waiting for my worker. The temps gone up to about +2.
another 30 mins and we will be setting up, I think I will let my mate do the cleaning while I put out the leaflets.

5:45 am :o That's the middle of the night surely ;D

Defrosting the windscreen ? Surely you just press the windscreen button which also does the mirrors and turn on the heated seats then drive off !

Seems crazy to set a predetermined date when you are going to start p washing, yes last week was a challenge due to temps, but we only had one day off due to minus temps during day. Forecast this week is great ...10 deg ! it can be colder in April :D
-
Booking still keep coming in as have more to do this week. Just have to work around the sub zero days and use your common sense.
I don't like to turn work away any time of the year as there is always a work around to keep custards happy.
It's not just cold day's that can cause issues but long periods of rainfall too . Run off areas like grass, boarders etc gets saturated so the run-off has nowhere to go. Again it's about using your common sense when the best time to start a job and what methods you choose to use to clean a surface.
