Ivar

I think you mean 'plonker'

It is just one of the many idiosyncrasies of the English language that we, Anglo-Saxons(with a dash of Viking), come up with from time to time just to confuse people from other Countries. ;)

I am going to let others answer you on this one and just sit back and enjoy the explanations.. ;D

Have fun

Perfect example, if you can watch a few episodes of "Only Fools And Horses"
'Person who constantly makes stupid and innecessary mistakes"!!!!!!
I think that is the politest way of describing a PLONKER ;)

Plonker is also slang for the well known male appendage.

"Plonk" is the sound made by casually dropping a floppy object onto the floor. Plonk is also slang for cheap wine - not so much in use today as people are a lot more savvy about wine these days.
