Hi Jaydee

Steam cleaners are great for detailed cleaning, for example grout lines between wall or floor tiles, if you want to deep clean floor surfaces steam cleaners are not very effective for this purpose as the wider the path you want to clean the less effective they are.
If you are using a steam machine with the steam jet focused on grout lines you will see the impacted soils being blown away in front of you, if you then put on a 6 0r 8 inch scrubbing brush you will find that it has not much impact on removing ingrained or impacted soils.
For Deep cleaning floors pre spray with your preferred safe to use cleaning solution then use a damp microcleaning mop pad which are 30 times more effective than steam for deep cleaning floors, if you have large areas to deep clean microcleaning pads are available to fit slow speed floor scrubbing machines.

Microfiber pad would only clean a flat surface. surely you would need a brush for most tiles?
Or am i missing something here  ???

No it was a microcleaning pad  (magic eraser pad) i recommended totally different than microfiber pads.
