Thats rather hard to say unless you tell us what your TDS reading is after it has gone through your R/O and prior to it going through your resin.

There is a formula to work out how long a given amount of resin will last, and it has been put on the furum before now.
Justin Ruggles was one who I am sure put it in a post on the forum many months ago, I know I have seen it on one of his posts on the other forum ???

So a little more info is needed before we can answer you!

And in the meantime perhaps someone who knows the formula will stick it into a reply for you!!

The formula came from www.andwat.co.uk/ a while ago. To see how long a 25 litre of resin will last divide 500,000 by you TDS reading, this will then give you the amount of water per 25 litre.

Example

500000/200=2500 litres per 25 litre bag.

thanks, i havent a ro, at present i get my water from some one i no, i was wondering about filling up at home & pureifying with di resin only, my tds is 200.

so a 25ltr bag will only do 2500ltrs of water, big bucks then!  >:(

Well done Justin ;)
I knew someone would put that formula on!

And Macc,

With a tap water TDS of 200 you will most definitely need an R/O :o

You will use resin like it's going out of fashion otherwise!!
